clank- bang, clank……
“shut if off” I say ” you never know what could be in here, get your hand away from the switch” I dig deep like I usually have to get my hand past the sing drain into the disposal area. Something square hard and foreign I think, pulling out the object covered in last night’s stuffed shells and usual red sauce. It appears to be my iPod shuffle. How the f*%k did it end up in the garbage disposal ?

http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/hiner/?p=1860

One the most important — and most difficult — things to do when you first start using Twitter is to develop a good list of people to follow. You can check your friends’ lists of followers, watch for interesting people that come up in @replies, and look for personalities and brands who promote their Twitter addresses. But, it can take several months to build up a good list. For technology professionals, I’m going to give you a big head start.

This is part three of my three-part series on Twitter. Here are links to the other two parts:

Part 1: A quick Twitter guide and glossary for business users

Part 2: 10 valuable Twitter utilities for business users

Below is a list of 100 technology experts who are active on Twitter. This list is dominated by tech media professionals and pundits but also includes some CEOs, CTOs, and developers who are worth listening to.

Still, even if you choose to follow everyone on my list, I’d encourage you to regularly cull the list of people you follow. If someone regularly posts useless information or lots of stuff you don’t care about, unfollow the person. That’s what I do. I keep the list of people I follow to about 100-200 and I often add new people while regularly weeding out my list of people who aren’t providing anything interesting or useful.

For more insights on technology, you can also follow my Twitter stream: @JasonHiner

I wish there was an easy way for you to simply push a button and add all 100 people on this list to your “following” list on Twitter. Unfortunately, there’s not. So you will need to go to the Twitter profile of each person you’re interested in Following. This is something that Twitter needs to improve. It needs a group or list feature so that people can set up lists like this and users can then follow the entire list with a single click. It should function the same way OPML files function for lists of RSS feeds.

So here is the list, which is not ranked 1-100 but simply listed in alphabetical order. If there are others you think should be added to the list, make a note in the comments.

I am weird when it comes to music, I have john cash to nine inch nails ( and a million others) on my zune, if its fun and interesting or just good I will play it hundreds of times like i did with beardo (and mickey avalon). I found beardo’s music to stand out against most of the music I hear coming out, its got a fun, punky, hip hop feel. Here is a free song http://www.box.net/shared/13gpauicdx give it a listen and youtube beardo to see more. here is some info about beardo….. enjoy:
jason

Beardo was named by a drunk. Jeramy Gritter was born in Harlem. He grew up in Allentown, PA. One day Jeramy’s step-dad threw his white bunny rabbit against the wall because the rabbit took a shit in the house. Jeramy moved to Los Angeles to make it. He was broke when he got here and not much has changed. He did modeling gigs with Mickey Avalon who he started producing. He met Cisco Adler through Mickey Avalon and soon joined Cisco’s band, Whitestarr. But Jeramy was still living in a box in Van Nuys. In a pieced together home studio, Gritter was listening to a crazy fuzz base line he had previously recorded. He wrote “Girls, Girls, Girls, and Pills and Pills” intending to use it for Whitestarr. Although the band knew the song was amazing, it just didn’t fit. That was the day Beardo was born, although he was only actually named months later by a drunk critic who told the heavily whiskered musician that, “no one cared about what Beardo had to say.” Nothing can be further from the truth.

After the initial party anthem of “Girls, Girls, Girls, and Pills and Pills,” Beardo started getting political as he began to reflect on the increasing gap between rich and poor and on the impoverished mentality of the man Beardo has dubbed, ‘Lord Bush.’ Beardo believes that the US was sent to war in Iraq so that Bush and his friends in the weapons and oil industries could loot the federal treasury. Beardo is a true revolutionary willing to say just about anything in speaking truth to power. His music is an irreverent fusion of rap, punk, and rock n’ roll. His songs “Losers” and “Alien Man” reflect inner turmoil common to many disenchanted youth and his political songs such as “Fight a Revolution” and “America the Great” take on the hypocrisy of the Bush administration who are willing to send young men to fight for their country (or so they say) but who cut their benefits upon return. The callous nature of Bush’s two-faced pseudo-patriotism drives the anger that rages behind Beardo. Beardo is loyal to the cause and to his fans.
